 1953-1956 studies at the State Academy for Fine Arts Karlsruhe with Prof. Erich Heckel and Prof. HAP Grieshaber, acquaintance with Otto Eberhardt
 1956-1957 state scholarship at the Academia di belle arti Roma
 1957-1959 study visit to Rome
 after 1959 further study stays in Paris, Lugano, Dubrovnik, London (meeting Henry Moore), Ischia, Cairo, Luxor and in southern Egypt.
